IF YOU ARE A ROARING FORK VALLEY RESIDENT AND ARE INTERESTED IN MAKING YOUR HOME MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT, YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE UP TO $300.

Insulating your home's ceiling as well as the exterior walls is one of the most effective ways homeowners can reduce energy bills and their carbon footprint. Consider it like wrapping your house in a nice blanket. In the winter time, not only does extra insulation keep the heat in, it also helps keep the cold out!
In order to help Roaring Fork Valley residents increase the efficiency of their homes, CORE has partnered with the Governor’s Energy Office (GEO) to provide an extra monetary incentive for homeowners wishing to re-insulate. Here’s how it works:
The program provides a rebate to homeowners that insulate and air-seal their attics and exterior walls to the recommended R-Values presented in the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code, or the 2006 IECC.
CORE and the Governor’s Energy Office will reimburse 20 percent of the installation cost up to $300.
According to the Governor’s Energy Office:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that homeowners can typically save up to 20% of heating and cooling costs, or up to 10% of total energy costs, by air sealing their homes and adding insulation.
If you are a resident of Aspen, Pitkin County, or Basalt please contact CORE at (970) 544-9808, or click here for a list of GEO Approved Contractors. After hiring a contractor and completing the work, make sure to remind your contractor to provide an installation invoice and the official Insulate Colorado Homeowner Rebate Form.
Carbondale and Garfield County residents are welcome to call CORE for more information, but your rebate check will be administered by Garfield New Energy Communities Initiative.

Happy insulating!
