Climate Action Series Kicks Off on June 13
CORE Hosts Three Events Showcasing New Energy Reduction Technologies

Basalt, Colorado – June 1, 2023 – The Community Office for Resource Efficiency (CORE) is hosting the Climate Action Series, which begins on June 13, 2023. This engaging series, consisting of three events, will bring together industry-leading experts and community members dedicated to taking actionable steps to address the climate crisis across the Roaring Fork Valley.

Events in the Climate Action Series will feature captivating talks, insightful panel discussions, and live demonstrations covering a wide range of topics, such as renewable energy, sustainable cooking, and advancements in architecture.

Event Dates and Topics:

Climate Conscious Kitchen
When: June 15, 2023, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: The W Aspen, 550 South Spring Street, Aspen, Colorado
Description: Explore ways to lower carbon emissions in the kitchen through sustainable cooking methods, energy-efficient appliances, and locally sourced foods. The event will include demonstrations and feature locally sourced cocktails and appetizers.

State of the Art of Architecture
When: July 27, 2023, from 4 - 6 p.m.
Location: Aspen Art Museum, 637 East Hyman Avenue, Aspen, Colorado
Description: Join visionaries in architecture as they showcase groundbreaking design work and advancements that are driving meaningful change in both our built and natural environments.

Green Electronics Showcase
Date: August 23, 2023, from 6 - 8 p.m.
Location: The Arts Campus at Willits (TACAW), 400 Robinson Street, Basalt, Colorado
Description: Part exposition, part discussion. Explore cutting-edge and green technologies that will be funded by the Inflation Reduction Act.
