This October: Fall Brings Action & Inspiration
As Fall settles into the Roaring Fork Valley, I’m reflecting on the power of community, collaboration, and what we can achieve when we come together. This month has been full of inspiration, from an event celebrating Indigenous youth paddling the restored Klamath River to stories of local homeowners transforming their energy use right here at home.
With the season of giving on the horizon, including Colorado Gives Day
on December 9, there are opportunities to multiply the impact of your donation and help CORE foster safer homes, cleaner air, and a more resilient community for all in the Roaring Fork Valley.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for being an essential part of this journey.

Ríos to Rivers & CORE Event Recap
Earlier this month, CORE co-hosted an inspiring evening with Ríos to Rivers. Founder Weston Boyles shared how 120+ Indigenous youth paddled the restored Klamath River, celebrating dam removal and reclaimed lands. This 310-mile journey highlighted the power of collective action to drive meaningful progress in addressing the climate crisis across communities and generations.

Energy Spotlight: The Osburn Family

Beth and Shannan Osburn transformed their 1980 mobile home in Lazy Glen with CORE’s support and Holy Cross Energy rebates covering 75% of costs. Step by step, they installed a heat pump, insulation, a programmable thermostat, an upgraded electrical panel, and more. Once challenged by temperature swings, their home now stays comfortable year-round with lower utility bills. Their journey proves how accessible energy upgrades can truly improve lives.
Are you ready to take the next step in improving your home?
