The Power of Buildings: Expert guidance to move your building forward

Why Buildings Matter

For over thirty years, CORE has worked to reduce the primary sources of greenhouse gas emissions in our region. That work has evolved alongside changes in technology, policy, and how our community uses energy. What was once considered low-hanging fruit, like switching to ultra-efficient LEDs, is now simply standard.

One thing has remained consistent — buildings are still the largest source of emissions in our region.

Across our mountain communities, a significant portion of energy use and emissions comes from how we heat and power our homes and businesses. Many people don’t realize that proven solutions already exist to reduce this impact.

CORE’s programs are helping demonstrate that high-performance buildings powered by efficient electric systems are not only possible but also effective in our climate. Improving efficiency and upgrading to technologies like heat pumps can deliver year-round comfort, healthier indoor air, and reliable performance in a changing climate.

While we can’t predict the future, our team can help you understand what’s possible today and take the next step towards a better tomorrow.

Sincerely,

More Rebates. Better Cooking.

Up to $800 in rebates are now available from the City of Aspen and CORE to help you switch to an induction stove. Gas stoves can release pollutants that affect indoor air quality. Induction stoves offer a cleaner, safer alternative with no open flame, faster cooking, and better air for your home. There’s more support than ever to make the switch.
