CORE is thrilled to have spent over $800,000 on more than 100 residential energy efficiency and electrification projects in Garfield and Eagle Counties so far in 2026. This success means that CORE’s budget for rebates in these communities has almost run out. CORE’s funding for residential rebates in Garfield and Eagle Counties comes from private donations and CORE reserves.
As of
July 17th, 2026, all rebate maximums will be
reduced by 50% for residential projects in
Garfield and Eagle Counties until funding runs out, expected later this year. Projects within the Town of Basalt and throughout Pitkin County will continue to be eligible for full rebate amounts due to funding from those communities

Program Details
- CORE will pre-approve rebates for a limited time period if all requirements are met. Please check the pre-approval option on the rebate application.
- CORE incentives from each of the four main categories (excluding new construction) can be stacked. An individual household can claim the full rebate amount in each category once per calendar year.

Home Energy Assessments
Start Your Home Energy Assessment!A home energy assessment is the best place to start for residential energy projects. Certified HERS raters evaluate your home's energy performance and provide recommendations to improve comfort, efficiency, and resilience.
If you've already completed a project, consider a follow-up home energy assessment to identify additional opportunities for improvement.

Building Envelope Upgrades
Building envelope upgrades help improve your home’s comfort, efficiency, and overall performance by reducing air leakage and improving insulation. CORE strongly recommends completing air sealing and insulation improvements together to maximize the benefits of your project.

Appliances and controls upgrades help homeowners improve energy efficiency, support home electrification, and optimize energy use. CORE offers funding for a variety of high-efficiency appliances and smart energy technologies that can improve comfort, convenience, and home performance.

Cold Climate Heat Pump Installation
Cold climate heat pump systems provide an efficient electric solution for home heating and are designed to perform in mountain climates. CORE offers funding for heat pump technologies that support residential electrification while improving home comfort and resilience.

CORE offers rebates for major renovations and all-electric new construction projects designed to improve energy performance and support residential electrification.

Looking For More Funding?
You may be eligible for even more funding! Local community members, from teachers and childcare workers to veterans and government staff, may qualify for savings of up to $10,000 on a single residential project, and up to $50,000 for a commercial or multi-family building project. Check out our Community Priority Participants (CPP) criteria or our Savings Calculator to see if you qualify for more incentives. Rebates are available for existing single-family homes or individual units in a multifamily building.
