Green Expo, CORE’s Annual Event, September 11th
We’re excited to bring CORE’s Green Expo back for its second year, and to a new home at Aspen Meadows. This year, more than 25 local businesses, organizations, and experts will come together to share practical solutions to reduce carbon emissions and create a more sustainable future.
This free community event is an opportunity to discover the ideas, resources, and services available right here in our region. Connect with local experts, explore new technologies, and learn what is possible for our homes, businesses, and communities.
The day will include the Solutions Showcase, featuring more than 25 businesses and organizations working across climate, energy, and the built environment, followed by a panel discussion on the Future of Sustainable Buildings and a social hour. Energy Spotlight: Tiny Homes, Big Impacts
At Aspen Skiing Company’s Tiny Town employee housing community, compact living and energy innovation go hand in hand. Each phase has built on lessons from the last, creating all-electric homes that are increasingly comfortable and efficient.
CORE-supported split-system heat pump water heaters conserve valuable indoor space, reduce electricity use, and can produce hot water even when outdoor temperatures fall below minus 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Together, the upgrades are expected to save approximately 50,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity each year.

The Casual Enormity of Adam Palmer tells the story of a remarkable community leader who launched sustainability projects at multiple levels of society. After his tragic loss in an avalanche in 2021, Adam Palmer’s legacy became a rallying point for a mountain community ready to reduce pollution, modernize its grid and improve its collective quality of life.
The event will also include a panel discussion featuring CORE CEO Tara Stitzlein, author and climate activist Auden Schendler and Holy Cross Energy President and CEO Bryan Hannegan.
The Green Expo, CORE’s annual event, returns Friday, September 11, at Aspen Meadows, bringing together sustainable businesses, products, and services from across the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. This free, half-day event will inspire community members to explore practical solutions to reduce carbon emissions.
Attendance is free; registration is required.
