Chris Caskey
Commercial Business Development
Chris is a scientist and entrepreneur whose work brings together energy, climate, and economic development. At CORE, he manages commercial business development in the Vail Valley and Eagle County, drawing on a background that spans research, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship.
His companies, Delta Brick and Particular Tile, turn mud from Paonia Reservoir into ceramics, giving an unexpected material a new purpose. In 2023, Chris and a group of friends purchased an abandoned coal mine and installed a system to capture methane leaking from the mine void.
His career has taken him from the laboratory to the mountains, with previous roles as a scientist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, a professor at Colorado School of Mines, a board member at the Western Slope Conservation Center, and a mountaineering guide in British Columbia. He holds a doctorate in applied chemistry and serves on the board of the Colorado Electric Transmission Authority.
Outside of work, Chris can be found running, cooking, and singing, preferably with friends.
