Lee Macke

Project Manager

Lee brings over a decade of experience in energy performance contracting and a deep background in sustainable construction to his role at CORE. A mechanical engineering graduate of Georgia Tech, he has helped build everything from schools and libraries to clinics and cabins, most recently focusing on energy efficiency projects across the western and midwestern United States.

Originally from the South, Lee’s path has included stints as a cook, a line chef at a snow cat-accessed restaurant in Vail, and a builder of LEED-certified projects in Colorado’s mountain communities. He’s passionate about how buildings work and how they can work better. When he’s not at work, you’ll find him mountain biking, splitboarding, or exploring the outdoors with his son and daughter, often near the off-grid cabin he built up Independence Pass.
