Aspen International Mountain Foundation (AIMF) is a Colorado nonprofit dedicated to sustainable development in mountain environments and communities. AIMF is a part of the United Nations Mountain Partnership and has advocated for mountains since its inception in 2001, participating in important climate conferences and helping to draft the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) relating to mountains. AIMF hosted an event Mountains Matter: Ideas to Action event in 2022 and coordinated a similar community conversation called “Talk Globally, Act Locally,” which brought together local communities to discuss how they are addressing climate change.

Panelist Bios

Greg Poschman

Pitkin County Commissioner

Greg is an Aspen native and graduate of Aspen High School. He received a Civil/Architectural Engineering degree from the University of Colorado, with minor studies in business and filmmaking. Over the course of a 30 year career Greg won 3 National Emmy awards for Directing and Camerawork, among other honors for documentary filmmaking and philanthropic activities. Greg has served on several non-profit boards or advisory boards, including ACES, CORE, Aspen Hall of Fame, Aspen Public Radio, and Pitkin County Healthy Rivers and Streams. He is currently Chair of The Pitkin County Board of Health, Ruedi Water and Power Association and the Roaring Fork Transit Authority. Greg lives with his wife Maureen and twin Aspen High School graduates who are presently pursuing degrees at universities.

Gina McCrackin

Moderator

Gina is CORE’s Director of Regional Strategy and will lead coordinated regional climate action initiatives in the built environment. She supports local governments in Pitkin, Eagle, and Garfield Counties in their building code planning, adoption, and implementation efforts, and provides expert advisory to the region on aligned climate action efforts. Her commitment to community-driven solutions shines through her work as she facilitates collaboration across various organizations.
