This January: Setting Goals & Embracing Challenges

As we begin a new year, I am embracing challenges as opportunities. Our goals are ambitious, and our team is prepared:

  • Increase emissions reduction impact by 20% over 2025
  • Continue to award at least 40% of our incentives to under-resourced members of our community
  • Build stronger regional partnerships to unlock greater impact and funding opportunities
  • Deliver expert energy advising backed by grants and rebates for all community members
  • Continue to increase philanthropic support to ensure sustainable growth

My commitment remains unwavering: making climate solutions accessible to everyone in our region. Thank you for your partnership in this vital work. Together, we empower our local communities to embrace energy efficiency and electrification, creating a healthier environment for all.

Sincerely,

Welcome to the Team: Sam Johnston

Don't Let Your Heating Bills Melt Your Budget

If your heat is escaping, so is your money. Drafty homes and buildings and inefficient heating systems drive up bills and harm our mountain environment.

CORE can help with energy audits, insulation upgrades, heat pumps, and more. In 2026, homeowners can access up to $15,000 in rebates, while businesses qualify for up to $50,000.

Energy assessments are completely free for Community Priority Participants. Whether you rent or own, now's the perfect time to start saving!

Energy Spotlight: Old Snowmass Homeowners

Build Back After Fire

When a catastrophic fire destroyed Clint Coerdt and Kate Sartain's home in Old Snowmass, Colorado, they faced an impossible choice: leave the Roaring Fork Valley or rebuild in the shadow of devastating loss. Their new 3,400-square-foot home produces most of its own clean energy, eliminates fossil fuels entirely, and costs a fraction of typical homes to operate. What emerged from the ashes is a blueprint for resilient, all-electric mountain living, and it could inspire your own home energy transformation.
